Documented cases • the Skolio archive

An outcome is not a promise.
It is a documented journey.

Age, time in therapy, measurements and the course of treatment are shown together, because one image never tells a patient’s full story.

Radiographs before and after therapy — Julia, 15 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 01 / 08

Julia, 15 years

Radiological records describe a change in the measured curve from 35° to 10° after two years of work.

Case notes

The patient’s own commitment, her parents’ support and close cooperation with the therapist were important throughout the process. The measurements must always be read in the context of the complete course of therapy.

Radiographs before and after therapy — Adam, 20 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 02 / 08

Adam, 20 years

The archived case notes record a 10° reduction in the measured curve after one year.

Case notes

Work continued because functional progress was still being observed. Any assessment should consider the full course of therapy, comparable imaging and the individual patient’s circumstances.

Radiographs before and after therapy — Katarzyna, 38 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 03 / 08

Katarzyna, 38 years

The case record describes changes in two measured curves: from 41° and 33° to 27° and 15°.

Case notes

The archive also notes a visible change in posture, a smaller rib prominence and improved waist symmetry. This case shows why an outcome should be described more broadly than by one number.

BeforeRadiograph before therapy — Kasia, 19 years
AfterRadiograph after therapy — Kasia, 19 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 04 / 08

Kasia, 19 years

Radiological documentation describes a change in the measured curve from 20° to 8° after eight months.

Case notes

In this case the lower-degree functional curve reduced relatively quickly. The key challenge was stabilising the result by changing body schema; that stage was also achieved.

BeforeRadiograph before therapy — Zosia, 18 years
AfterRadiograph after therapy — Zosia, 18 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 05 / 08

Zosia, 18 years

Radiological documentation describes a change in the measured curve from 65° to 43° after three years.

Case notes

At first the curve continued to progress despite bracing and exercise. Stabilisation was recorded after the first year, while the clearer improvement appeared later in the process.

BeforeRadiograph before therapy — Gabrysia, 15 years
AfterRadiograph after therapy — Gabrysia, 15 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 06 / 08

Gabrysia, 15 years

Radiological documentation describes a change in the measured curve from 26° to 4° after one year.

Case notes

Two follow-up radiographs were taken during the year and each showed further improvement. Clear, comparable documentation can be deeply motivating for the patient, family and therapeutic team.

BeforeRadiograph before therapy — Łukasz, 12 years
AfterRadiograph after therapy — Łukasz, 12 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 07 / 08

Łukasz, 12 years

Radiological documentation describes a change in the measured curve from 47.5° to 30° after two years.

Case notes

Łukasz communicates confidently in English, so language was not a barrier. Parental involvement and continued consultation with specialists abroad were important. The decision not to use a brace was individual and accepted by the treating physicians.

BeforeRadiograph before therapy — Sylwia, 32 years
AfterRadiograph after therapy — Sylwia, 32 years
Archived radiographs • Cobb angles marked on the source material

Case 08 / 08

Sylwia, 32 years

Radiological documentation describes a change in the measured curve from 48° to 30° after two years of exercise, including a break related to pregnancy.

Case notes

The process included regular intensives; after the first year, follow-up visits could be shortened to two days. Techniques were adjusted according to the body’s response. Sylwia continues to practise and may share her experience by prior arrangement.

Important / responsible presentation

Every outcome has a context.
Every patient has a different journey.

These are individual cases and do not guarantee a similar outcome for another patient. Assessing the possibilities of therapy requires current diagnostics, comparable examinations and an individual consultation.
